About This Event
This is the second free-practice session for the United States Grand Prix, part of the Formula 1 2026 World Championship, taking place at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. Practice 2 is a key on-track window for teams and drivers to run race simulations, evaluate tyre compounds and refine setup and strategy ahead of qualifying and the race. The session uses COTA’s 20-turn, counterclockwise layout—famous for its elevation changes and the steep run into Turn 1—making it an important opportunity to dial in car balance for the weekend.
